BRIAN LIEB
Biography

I have led hundreds of training sessions with dozens of organizations. My classes and presentations are fast-paced and fun, and I can work with people at any skill level.
I developed Hennepin County's plain language program, one of the first and most effective programs in the country. As part of that work I created the county's writing style guide and helped lead the rewrite of the county's website. I also developed curriculum and teach a series of writing classes for Hennepin County employees.
Prior to coming to Hennepin County, I was a writer and editor at the University of Minnesota and a freelance writer and editor. I also taught writing classes for high school and college students and for adult learners.
I have a master's degree in English from the University of Minnesota and a graduate minor in Teaching English as a second language, with extensive coursework in education theory and linguistics.
